In July, the Spyglass team in New Zealand delivered another exciting project, this time for The University of Auckland's event - TAUMATA 2022.

This year's TAUMATA 2022 celebration, the University of Auckland's Distinguished Alumni Awards 2022 ceremony, was hosted by Finlay Macdonald at the ASB Waterfront Theatre. The entire event included interviews with award recipients, performances by the choir, and online speeches by other award-winners who were unable to make it to the venue.

To create the best visual effect for the event, the Spyglass team designed a brilliant display scheme, that is, set a 15-meter-long immersive digital display consisting of three separate VuePix INFiLED screens in the center of the main stage. Thereinto, the two screens on either side were applied in interview sessions to present related video footage, while the middle one that supports automatic lifting was raised when the choir stepped into the stage from behind the screen, creating a stage effect like Stars in Their Eyes.

The event presented excellent visual effects throughout, on the one hand, because the Spyglass team took the visual content to another level this year, with over 100 hours poured into creating some incredible scene backgrounds both for the awards sequence, and the theatrical and performance parts. The content was all made in-house by Spyglass creative team.

On the other hand, the quality of the screen also contributed to all of Spyglass's gorgeous visual presentations. The applied VuePix INFiLED display screens, which work with vivid, accurate color, ultra-high resolution as well as high contrast, precisely display the brightest highlights and the deepest shadows in the screen pictures, showing aesthetically pleasing visuals.
